Climate: 1200-1400mm of rain annually
Soil: Deep, red, volcanic loamy soils
Trees grown: Grevillia and indigenous trees
Process: Wet mill pulping, natural fermentation, sun drying on tables
Region and Geography: Located in Kirinyaga District, East of Mt. Kenya, 170km North of Nairobi
Harvest: April-September (early crop), October – December (main season)
Certification: Currently under no certification due to lack of funding

Nyanja Factory has about 500 members and is part of the Baragwi Farmers Co-operative Society Limited. The estate has birds such as pigeons, owl, sparrow and black crows that are commonly found in the area.

2006/2007 Production: 639,525kgs of coffee cherries.
