Kenya Wamuguma

This Kenyan offering is crisp and complex with honey sweetness, citrus acidity and a syrupy texture. The soft floral aroma is accompanied by characteristics of black currant and lemon.

Produced by the Ritho Co-operative located on the slopes of the Aberdare Mountains, this fully washed and patio dried lot is grown at an altitude of 1600 meters and consists of two varieties, SL 28 and SL 34.

Wamuguma is on the eastern border of the Great Rift Valley and is one of two washing stations associated with the Ritho Co-operative. The Co-operative has a membership of approximately 2,000 farmers, and half of the members deliver cherry to the Wamuguma washing station.
