The coffee's story:
Ethiopia Sidamo Nekisse Micro Selection is an exceptionally rare, high quality micro-lot coffee. A
micro-lot is a small section that is devoted to one final lot, so there is no blending with other areas
of the farm, or other farms or mills. The care of this one small piece of land is the final product. The
flavour and taste quality of the Nekisse is truly fascinating and unique, with a flavour profile not found
in other coffee producing countries. Developed on a private farm not far from the Neji locality in the
Sidamo region located in southern Ethiopia, the Nekisse is crafted with expert cultivation and
processing protocols. The meticulous hand selection of only the ripest red cherries along with the
intensive care and dedication is processed using the natural method. Nekisse is an exceptional Micro
Selection quality level that is truly a unique experience the micro-lot. It's all in the cup. Although not
certified, all Nekisse coffee is produced without harmful chemicals. Natural process coffees are
processed with little to no water.
The availability of this coffee is extremely limited and 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters is the only roaster
in Canada with access to it.
