Green Coffee & Freezing

Green coffee is delivered in burlap jute bags, which makes it susceptible to taking on those burlap characteristics. If stored too long green coffee will eventually go stale--it typically lasts for six months depending on storage conditions. Green coffee must stay dry and be stored in a cool place, as it will take on undesirable traits if these conditions are not met through oxidation. Therefore, once the jute bags of green coffee are delivered to our roasting plant, we immediately repackage them into triple layer laminate bags with no valves. We then move coffees into our freezer at -20 degrees celcius to ensure quality and longevity.
