Roasting

The custom roaster allows Master Roaster Mike Piccolo to roast each coffee with the exact roasting profile for that particular bean. By adjusting our drum speed for soft/hard beans, amount of heat in the drum, air flow, and cooling times, each bean can be roasted to bring out the nuances that the bean is known for and ultimately give the consumer the best cup of coffee possible.

An Agtron Coffee Roast Analyzer is used to control the quality and consistency of the coffee. They are the most accurate and repeatable roast analyzers available. The Agtron is a near infrared abridged Spectrophotometer, designed specifically for high resolution analysis of the degree of the roast of ground and whole bean coffee. The instrument uses near-infrared because it provides much higher resolution measuring flavour as it relates to the chemistry of the roasting process.
